Nolan James Month 11
BUT seriously, how has it been 11 months since little Nolan James entered this world?! I cannot believe he will be a year in 30 days!!!! I know it’s so cliche...but it goes in a blink. Thank the lord for pictures or I’d never believe it happened!
11 month milestones:
Beach VACAY>>> Nolan made it through his first Warren annual beach trip and had a blast. His steps turned into full-on WALKING machine literally the first day we got there. I don’t know if he like the floors or the big open space of the house, but he took off as soon as we got there and never slowed down!!
TEETH>>> His teeth just keep popping through...He’s now working on one more and I feel so bad. I can’t imagine how painful bone trying to come through your gum is, but it doesn't seem pleasant. We really haven’t found a teething toy that he seems to love...but he will chew on rock of any kind...preferably fireplaces. He’ll just naw away until someone makes him stop because of the shrill sound. It’s charming.
GROWING>>> I feel like he is really starting to sprout. He’s becoming quite the chunky little monkey and I love it!! Keep that baby chub coming. He has the fattest little sausage feet and rolly little belly. #ijustwannasqueezehim
Moving to MILK>>> We are headed to Alaska in a few weeks so I am transitioning him to real milk. It’s a bitter-sweet moment. He’ll still be on breast milk while we are gone but by the time we get back, he’ll be a full on regular milk drinking fool. As hard as breastfeeding is at times, I’m so grateful we were able to make it a year. So far, his little tummy seems totally fine with almond milk and regular whole milk which puts my mind at ease.
Mama Note: The transition from breastfeeding is not bad at all. A little uncomfortable but mostly on the emotions. It’s hard to know that’s something you’ll never to again. It’s hard to know that the baby phase is coming to an end. BUT the next phase is SO fun, get excited. :-)
