Nolan James Month 9
Little man is 9 months old and changing SO much!! His personality is coming out and so far he’s just a chill dude who wants to live outside and eat dirt.
9 month milestones:
He’s fast as lighting with that weird scoot/crawl situation and tries to get into as much trouble as possible. Pulling plugs, eating dirt, rocks, and anything he can shovel in before getting caught. Oy’ he stresses me…
He LOVES bath time and no matter how fussy he is around bedtime, if you just take him into the bathroom he’ll start trying to dive into the tub. Water baby in the making!
First Easter! Let’s be really, he didn’t really “get it” but did enjoy rolling around in the grass trying to eat eggs.
Nolan is pulling up on EVERYTHING! I swear overnight he went from wobble monster to being able to move and groove. Caleb swears he’s gonna start walking but I sure hope he holds off.
First vacation with the grandparents! Both the babes stayed with our amazing parents while Caleb and I went to the Dominican Republic. I booked the trip when I was still pregnant and literally was anxious about leaving them from the that time. BUT, it turned out great. They did amazing and probably didn’t even notice we were gone!
Can we say sleep regression...this kid is testing my limits of just how long I can make it with no sleep. He was doing so great last month and then all of a sudden decided to start waking up every few hours again. I KNOW he’s not hungry so after about two weeks of zombie status we went back to sleep training and within a day he was sleeping through again. Note to self...
Foods:: This month he has discovered black beans, hummus, and berries all of which he loved. His favorites are still banana, oatmeal, avocado, sweet potato, spaghetti, and eggs. I really need to focus on more veggies this month because so far he’s not about that life. I just tell myself his milk still has all he needs, LOL.
I swear, he changes so much every day. He’s still my little cuddle bug, holding tight to mama boy status but he’s just so cute, I don’t mind.
Mama Note: I do believe 9 months brings another shift of hormones. Every time his milk intake starts to change or he goes through a growth spurt, I feel like a crazy person. I am in this crazy limbo of being ready to get more rest and never wanting my babies to grow up. This stage of life is pure chaos but it’s also pure joy. I just want to soak in every second.
