Nolan is the sweetest, cutest, most chill baby every...until he’s not...then he will lose his marbles and scream at an octave that will pierce your ears. He’s a mama’s boy that prefers to be attached to me at all times, but once I’m out of sight, he’s happy as a clam.
Nolan James has a lady killer look that is for sure going to be a problem come teenage years...let me be the first to say, I will be in charge of approving all dates and I’ve told Caleb he better make sure he’s the most well mannered gentleman on the planet. ;-)
He’s slowly getting out of the mama is best phase and moving on to the love of Daddy, Papa K, and Papa Blair. He’s finding out the guys will take him outside and let him ride around and look for animals...his latest obsession.
All in all he’s a more reserved, take-it-all in little man compared to the take-over-immediately Kori Rae. Nolan likes to sit back and survey the scene before jumping into the chaos like his big sister. I’m so interested to see how his personality will continue to emerge. My favorite part about this upcoming toddler phase is watching them turn into little people.
Little Nolan James has brought a new level of joy into our house that I didn’t even know we were missing. It is true when they say the love of boys and girls are different. I’m so happy to be his mama.
I can’t even remember life before our two little humans made us parents. We are so blessed.
Mama Note:
Let’s set the record straight and say...the first birthday celebration is just as much for the parents as it is the kid. You have survived a very wonderful, very tough 12 months. CHEERS to that. :-)
